An, unofficial, fan-made vinyl cover project both a tribute to one of my favorite band and a graphic experiment. I wanted to show the drunken vibes you get out of their music, the way their words are messing with each others. To get this feeling in an image I decided to experiment with a scanner and embrace with the happy accidents.

I painted an amateurish, messy black type on the white-painted faces of three friends and had them rub their faces on the scanner a few dozen times each. The result is rough and glitched. On the detailed view we see where the light is distorted and colors are naturally separated. The dried paint also let's the skin texture appear, adding to the overall weirdness.

For the B face I reproduced and adapted the way the texts are written in the fanzine accompanying the album, playing with justification for a result that reads with the same flow that it's spoken in the songs.
